The mBot kit includes supplies to build and program an autonomous robot with coding abilities. It is based on a block coding system but also supports a text-based coding system using Arduino for more advanced users. This kit requires a software download for coding and is Bluetooth compatible for connection with smart devices with a controller APP download. This kit also requires batteries: either 1 3.7V DC Lithium battery or 4xAA batteries. Also available, for further extension using this kit are add on sensors and parts.

SaskCode has assembled classroom kits of hands-on materials, such as robot car kits, Arduino starter kits and sensors, that are designed to support the teaching of robotics skills at Grades 7-12 using the Arduino computing platform. Free activities to use with the kit are available for download through Google Drive. Kits are available for sale to any school in the province, and lending kits are available for borrowing, free of charge, by teachers in schools from school divisions that are part of the Saskatoon Industry Education Council (SIEC) partnership (see the SIEC website for a list of school divisions by area). To be eligible to borrow a kit, however, a teacher must complete a professional development session linked to that kit.
