Outcome
Apply effective project management strategies to the development of personal or professional projects.
Indicators
(a) Demonstrate respect for diversity (e.g., language, culture, ability, mobility, gender and sexual diversity) of the intended audience or audiences of one’s project.
(b)

Develop a written production plan for an information processing project, that includes:

  • a project proposal which outlines:
    • the project idea;
    • the purpose or goal;
    • the target audience; and,
    • the optimal format of the finished product.
  • a planning tool such as a storyboard which demonstrates:
    • the project timeline;
    • necessary resources; and,
    • the desired final outcome.
  • a plan for assessment of the project and the plan.
(c) Apply the production plan to the development of a project, revising as necessary.
(d) Demonstrate a logical problem solving approach when difficulties arise in carrying out a project.
(e) Proofread and critique a project, and edit the project according to feedback from other interested parties (e.g., clients, supervisors, focus groups).
(f) Distribute or present a finished project to the intended audience.
(g) Reflect on the effectiveness and the execution of the production plan to determine what should be changed or improved.
