Outcome
Design and build a website for a defined audience and purpose, using a website builder.
Indicators
(a) Investigate the specified audience and purpose for a proposed website.
(b) Determine the general content for a website.
(c)

Discuss the following considerations in relation to the posting of digital content:

  • copyright;
  • digital responsibilities;
  • ethical considerations; and,
  • one’s digital footprint.
(d) Plan the structure and layout for a website, using a planning tool such as an outline, flow chart or storyboard.
(e) Develop a prototype visual design for a website, using engaging graphic layout.
(f) Create webpages that demonstrate effective use of design elements and principles, and components including layout, font, text and images, using a website builder.
(g) Construct a website that includes multiple elements (e.g., multiple pages, formatting), navigation (e.g., anchor links, hyperlinks), and content objects (e.g., pictures, sounds, video) using a website builder, and critique the website.
(h) Investigate types of meta tags, determine appropriate meta tags for the proposed audience and apply to a website.
