Use and maintain autobody air, hydraulic and electric tools and equipment following safe procedures.
Indicators
(a) | Describe the safe use of air, hydraulic and electric tools such as pneumatic chisel, air ratchet, impact wrench, air polisher, air sand blaster, blow gun, air metal shears, power riveter, floor jack, safety stand and hydraulic rams and attachments. |
(b) | Perform correct procedures when using hand, stationary and power tools for specific autobody repairs. |
(c) | Inspect air, hydraulic and electric tools before use and tag for repair as required. |
(d) | Maintain and store air, hydraulic and electric tools and equipment appropriately. |
(e) | Recognize and follow safe work practices when using air, hydraulic and electric tools. |
(f) | Research and estimate the cost to purchase air, hydraulic and electric tools to enter the autobody trade. |
