Outcome
Identify and use hand and power tools safely and appropriately.
Indicators
| (a) | Identify and follow safe work practices associated with hand and power tools. |
| (b) | Describe safety precautions including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for each tool used. |
| (c) | Select and use appropriate hand and power tools. |
| (d) | Classify tools according to their capabilities (e.g., cutting, striking and holding) and method of power (e.g., hand, power and electric). |
| (e) | Maintain and store tools appropriately. |
| (f) | Inspect tools before use, and in consultation with the instructor, tag out for repair as required. |
