Outcome
Construct printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Indicators
| (a) | Demonstrate safe practices when working with PCBs. |
| (b) | Describe different methods (e.g., chemical etching, photo etching, silk screen, CNC and proto-board) of PCB fabrication. |
| (c) | Determine an appropriate layout design for the chosen method of fabrication according to industry standards (e.g., appropriate use of space on the PCB and minimizing jumper wires). |
| (d) | Use appropriate processing procedures (e.g., processing PCB in chemical etchant and drilling holes) to preserve conductive material for the chosen method. |
| (e) | Test the PCB, using a multimeter, for electrical continuity to match design layout. |
