Outcome
Examine the importance of inclusive marketing.
Indicators
(a) | Describe inclusive marketing. |
(b) | Explain accessible marketing as a component of inclusive marketing. |
(c) | Research ways that marketing content can be more easily accessed by users of all abilities (e.g., audio or larger text for individuals with vision impairments, print for individuals with hearing impairments and digital content for individuals with motor impairments) or by users with limited access (e.g., print materials or television content for individuals with no or limited access to the Internet). |
(d) | Discuss the impact that inclusive marketing can have on a brand (e.g., creating loyalty and trust) and on others (e.g., giving voice to a marginalized group). |
(e) | Discuss the importance of cultural understanding in developing effective and culturally sensitive marketing content. |
(f) | Differentiate between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation. |
(g) | Examine the potential impact of using cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation in marketing campaigns. |
