Indicators
(a) | Explain the goals of space planning for interior design projects. |
(b) | Describe the characteristics of typical public (e.g., entry, living room, dining room, meeting room), private (e.g., bedrooms, bathrooms) and work (e.g., kitchen, laundry, office) zones in residential and/or commercial spaces. |
(c) | Provide examples of how public, private and work zones are arranged in relation to each other in residential and/or commercial spaces. |
(d) | Explain the need to consider safety when planning and designing spaces, considering things such as stairs, rails and balconies. |
(e) | Provide examples of how public and private zones are connected (e.g., stairs, halls, archways) in residential and/or commercial spaces. |

Analyze traffic patterns in various floorplans, considering factors such as:
