(b) | Investigate the economic (e.g., over buying, fast fashion) and environmental (e.g., clothing in landfills) impact of clothing and textile decisions. |
(c) | Explore the ways clothing/textile items may be sustained (e.g., restored, redesigned, recycled). |
(d) | Demonstrate creative ways to redesign or recycle clothing and textiles. |
(e) | Create a project (e.g., tote bag, reusable sandwich bag, coffee cozy, cloth produce bag) that replaces a single use item. |
(f) | Plan, develop and carry out a recycling project. |
(g) | Redesign a garment/textile item to serve a new purpose (e.g., jeans into a skirt, shirt into a pillow, clothes into a patchwork quilt). |
