(a) | Identify the methods of designing a sewing pattern (i.e., flat draft patterns, draping, computer aided design). |
(b) | Identify the tools (e.g., French curve, awl, notcher, tracing wheel) and terminology (e.g., ease, grading, blending, truing) needed in pattern design. |
(c) | Design a fashion illustration as the basis for pattern creation. |
(d) | Explore and apply flat pattern design techniques using a commercial pattern. |
(e) | Design a flat pattern from a set of measurements. |
(f) | Design a sewing pattern using a computer program incorporating required elements (i.e., design details, required pattern information, pattern layout). |
