(c) Discuss how the choices and behaviours of a hairstylist or esthetician impacts their professional lives.
(d) Explain the importance of mental and physical health and well-being for personal and also professional reasons.
(e) Define and compare non-verbal, verbal and written communication.
(f) Discuss qualities of effective communication such as the role of actively listening and confirming expectations of clients.
(g) Analyze the importance of appropriate communication techniques and tools with clients including telephone and technology.
(h) Investigate behaviours (e.g., politeness, accommodating service, modeling hairstyles, nails, make-up and skin) and atmosphere (e.g., music, linens, comfort) that clientele find the most approachable and the most conducive to return business.
