(a)	Identify communications skills such as asking clarifying questions used in successful client consultations.
(b)	Create a list of possible questions for client consultations.
(c)	Discuss how respect for a client’s worldview, culture or self-identity should inform the consultation.
(d)	Critique appropriate communication skills during a client consultation scenario or within a classroom role play.
(e)	Discuss preparations for client consultation such as appropriate salon documents, client allergies and sensitivities, hair textures (e.g., fine, medium, coarse, kinky and curl pattern) and hair characteristics (e.g., density, porosity, elasticity).
