Indicators
| (a) | Discuss with client their current hair care needs and concerns. |
| (b) | Analyze hair to determine which shampoo and conditioner would be suitable for the client. |
| (c) | Experiment with appropriate conditions (e.g., water temperature, detangling techniques, brush and comb selection and water nozzle distance) for washing hair. |
| (d) | Practice proper scalp manipulations and techniques for shampooing and conditioning hair and scalp. |
| (e) | Perform pre-brushing, draping, shampoo (e.g., apply, lather, appropriate pressure to suit client ensuring complete saturation) and conditioner (e.g., ensure hydration, close the cuticle and detangle). |
| (f) | Discuss and apply sanitary procedures when shampooing hair. |
