(a) | Identify and summarize the role of tools, equipment and products used in esthetics. |
(b) | Summarize how to properly handle and maintain safety when using equipment including razors, cuticle remover, files and clippers. |
(c) | Recognize ergonomic effects of tools and usage of tools on the health of a technician’s body. |
(d) | Compare the use of varied tools to create designs in esthetics or to alter texture and shape to protect and support finished looks. |
(e) | Maintain safety and sanitation protocols when using equipment. |
(f) | Perform sanitation, disinfection and sterilization on tools. |
(g) | Explain to the client the products and tools that are going to be used. |
(h) | Describe common power tools and power equipment used in the esthetic trade. |
(i) | Identify which tools can be disinfected and which are single use. |
