(a) | Identify the difference between relaxation massage and massage performed by a registered massage therapist. |
(b) | Demonstrate discretion and confidentiality in acquiring and managing client information and practice appropriate protocol to record information during a client consultation and analysis. |
(c) | Create a list of questions to include on a client intake/consultation form (e.g., current health issues, medications, allergies and sensitivities and services requested). |
(d) | Compare client intake/consultation forms from various salons. |
(e) | Research skin conditions and skin types. |
(f) | Examine the client’s need for a specific body product. |
(g) | Identify contraindications and safety related to massage services. |
(h) | Perform a skin analysis to determine if the client has any contraindications to restrict or prevent the relaxation massage service. |
(i) | Determine, through client consultation, the time needed and the total cost of the relaxation massage service. |
