(d) Connect the historical, cultural and social contexts of composers’ lives to the music.
(e) Practice and perform music from various time periods, decades, genres, styles and worldviews.
(f) Examine issues of appropriation in music and identify criteria or ways to determine appropriation.
(g) Discuss or identify respectful relationships between underrepresented communities and composers.
(h) Explore how evolving technology and media have influenced and changed how music is created, produced, distributed and shared (e.g., instrument evolution, recording, printing press, online music sites).
