Apply complex skills, practices and techniques accurately and consistently during ensemble rehearsal and performance.
Indicators for this outcome
(a) Respond to changes in function and role of sections within an ensemble.
(b) Demonstrate the ability to perform specific tasks particular to the instrument in the ensemble.
(c) Individually attend to melodic phrasing, rhythmic accuracy and articulation in the preparation and performance of music.
(d) Play in tune with good balance and tone and know the intonation tendencies of one’s instrument.
(e) Demonstrate knowledge of the skills, attitudes and techniques necessary for ensemble performance.
(f) Employ rehearsal techniques (e.g., making notes, respectfully providing and applying feedback, making and trying out musical decisions).
(g) Demonstrate leadership as a performer by modelling and/or offering assistance, ideas and guidance to other performers during rehearsal/practice.
