Evaluate the quality of repertoire.
Indicators for this outcome
(a) Examine and play a range of repertoire (e.g., traditional wind band, composers of diverse genders, Indigenous, self-published, young composers, variety of genres and styles).
(b) Examine and play repertoire that utilizes a variety of compositional techniques and devices.
(c) Develop criteria to use in determining quality of repertoire.
(d) Analyze and determine the quality of repertoire based on criteria developed.
(e) Analyze and discuss characteristics of high-quality repertoire representative of various worldviews (e.g., traditional wind band, gender and sexually diverse composers, Indigenous, self-published, young composers, variety of compositional techniques and devices).
(f) Design a well-rounded concert program and provide a rationale for choices (e.g., diversity of genres and styles).
