Evaluate the quality of repertoire.
Indicators for this outcome
(a) | Examine and play a range of repertoire (e.g., traditional wind band, composers of diverse genders, Indigenous, self-published, young composers, variety of genres and styles). |
(b) | Examine and play repertoire that utilizes a variety of compositional techniques and devices. |
(c) | Develop criteria to use in determining quality of repertoire. |
(d) | Analyze and determine the quality of repertoire based on criteria developed. |
(e) | Analyze and discuss characteristics of high-quality repertoire representative of various worldviews (e.g., traditional wind band, gender and sexually diverse composers, Indigenous, self-published, young composers, variety of compositional techniques and devices). |
(f) | Design a well-rounded concert program and provide a rationale for choices (e.g., diversity of genres and styles). |
