Outcome
Examine entrepreneurial opportunities at home, at school and in the community.
Indicators
(a) Describe an entrepreneurial opportunity (i.e., a need, a want or a problem that needs to be solved).
(b) Discuss the view that change causes entrepreneurial opportunities and that entrepreneurial opportunities cause change.
(c) List potential sources of entrepreneurial opportunities (e.g., technological change, changing demographics, shortages, surpluses and shifts in demand).
(d) Assess the impact of PESTLE factors (i.e., political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental) on entrepreneurial opportunities.
(e) Differentiate between a trend and a fad and their impacts on entrepreneurial opportunities.
(f) Propose ways (e.g., being optimistic, accepting challenges, searching for opportunities and researching) that entrepreneurs discover and take advantage of opportunities.
(g) Differentiate between an opportunity (i.e., the problem) and an idea (i.e., a potential solution).
(h) Identify potential entrepreneurial opportunities at home, at school and in the community.
