DEST17
Module 17: Two-Dimensional Design Processes and Materials (Optional)
Outcome
Design solutions to a given two-dimensional design problem.
Indicators
(a) Articulate a design process as it relates to two-dimensional projects.
(b) Identify a two-dimensional design problem or challenge to be resolved (e.g., cost of production per unit is too high, consumers are not purchasing the volume expected).
(c) Identify various materials and fabrication processes to be considered in resolving a two-dimensional design problem or challenge.
(d) Describe the stages of production necessary to produce a product in industry.
(e) Consider alternative materials and processes that might be used for a product to improve its quality and unit cost of production.
(f) Explain the relationship between form and function in the design solution.
