Design Studies 10, 20, 30

(a)	Identify industries, businesses and careers that utilize design.
(b)	Investigate institutions that offer relevant programs for design-based careers in Saskatchewan and Canada.
(c)	Discover prerequisites for some of the post-secondary training and career opportunities that exist in the design field.
(d)	Research business opportunities and job prospects in a design career of interest.
(e)	Contemplate the roles, responsibilities, educational qualifications and personal and professional qualities common to people involved in design related careers.
(f)	Identify which design related occupations are facing personnel shortages and which are oversupplied on a local, regional and national scale.
(g)	Network with others to identify occupations related to design.
(h)	Analyze personal suitability for a specific design-related occupation considering criteria such as: initial and continuing educational requirements; duties and skills required for this occupation; entrepreneurial disposition; the work environment, including typical hours and shifts worked and typical locations; current wage rates in Saskatchewan and how these compare to the rest of Canada; physical, mental, and emotional stresses related to this occupation; workplace hazards and safety considerations; other occupations with which they interact; professional and business licensing requirements in Canada and Saskatchewan; and, future trends impacting the occupation.
(i)	Develop a strategy for attaining a job or starting a business of personal interest in the design field.
