Indicators for this outcome
(a) | Reflect on personal experience with language (e.g., languages spoken, language learning history, family and heritage languages). |
(b) | Describe benefits of being bilingual or plurilingual. |
(c) | Seek opportunities to communicate in German at the provincial level (e.g., German Saskatchewan social media groups, provincial German language newsletters, local German community radio and podcasts and corresponding in German with students from another Saskatchewan school). |
(d) | Explore German cultural associations in Saskatchewan such as the Saskatchewan Association of Teachers of German (SATG), the Saskatchewan Organization of Heritage Languages (SOHL), Heritage Language Schools (e.g., Das Schulhaus and the Saskatoon German Language Heritage School) and the Saskatchewan German Council. |
