Examine the principles of effective communication skills in energy and mines.

(a) | Discuss the importance of effective communication skills (e.g., speaking, writing, listening and reading) for those employed in energy and mining industries. |
(b) | Identify the characteristics (e.g., specific language choice, simple instructions and concise answers) of effective verbal and written communication. |
(c) | Describe the types of communication (e.g., reading and interpreting products and manuals, discussing equipment needs with suppliers and managing employees) required in energy and mining sectors. |
(d) | Explain why communication is a critical component of safety procedures. |
(e) | Describe the role of developing meaningful relationships in effective business communication and partnerships. |
