Indicators
(a) Explore how the political stability of Canada attracts investors to the petroleum industry.
(b) Research the historical use of petroleum in Saskatchewan and how it has changed over time.
(c) Describe uses of the different types of petroleum products (e.g., fuels, plastics and lubricants) created from crude oil.
(d) Investigate how the daily price of crude oil is determined.
(e) Investigate the impact of the extraction, refining and processing of oil and gas on the provincial economy.
(f) Describe the impact of the oil and gas industry on a specific Saskatchewan community.
(g) Discuss the economic and social impact of local petroleum-based industries on communities, families and individuals including First Nations and Métis peoples.
