forests and the

Indicators
(a) | Discuss the knowledge of an Elder or Knowledge Keeper about traditional use of the land (e.g., the impact on families and First Nations communities). |
(b) | Explore the impact of The Saskatchewan Treaty Land Entitlement Framework Agreement on the forestry industry. |
(c) | Examine how treaty rights and traditional territories impact the forestry industry. |
(d) | Compare treaty relationships to relationships between the forestry industry and other groups. |
(e) | Examine the perspective and position of First Nations and government agencies on provincial policy on communication, relationship building, engagement and relationship maintenance including The First Nation and Métis Consultation Policy Framework (which includes the duty to consult). |
(f) | Reflect on how forestry relationships can support necessary and ongoing efforts of reconciliation. |
(g) | Explore the impact of the Natural Resources Transfer Agreements on both the Indigenous peoples and the resource industry. |
