Outcome
Complete a project to
compare the
portrayal of the
forestry industry in
society with
information obtained
from a trip to a
company, community
or organization.
Indicators
| (a) | Plan an excursion with a company, First Nations community, tribal agency or government organization that is connected to the forestry industry. |
| (b) | Research the portrayal of a topic within the forestry industry that will be compared during the excursion. |
| (c) | Collect information about a topic within forestry (e.g., treaty education, reforestation, harvesting, wildlife, mapping, remote sensing, forest fires and conservation) as it applies to the location, community, company or government organization visited or studied. |
| (d) | Compare how the forestry industry was portrayed with the in-person information gathered. |
| (e) | Reflect on a personal experience in an area within forestry studies (e.g., treaty education, land-based education, harvesting, reforestation, climate change and sustainability). |
