(a)	Explain the purpose (e.g., ensure long-term viability of species and ecosystems) of wildlife and habitat management programs.
(b)	Compare preservation (i.e., protect endangered areas and species) and conservation (i.e., proper use of areas and species) as they relate to wildlife and habitat.
(c)	Explore the role of regulated hunting, fishing and trapping in wildlife and habitat management and conservation, including: allocating revenue from licenses to wildlife and habitat protection; managing high populations to protect damaged ecosystems; tracking disease; and, preventing over-harvesting.
(d)	Describe the goals of the Saskatchewan Fish and Wildlife Development Fund.
(e)	Investigate the agencies responsible for managing Saskatchewan’s game animals.
(f)	Explain how organizations use “community science” (i.e., applications to record observations) to assist in monitoring wildlife.
(g)	Outline the steps in developing an existing management plan (e.g., Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, Ministry of Environment and Wildlife Advisory Committee, Nature Conservancy of Canada Natural Area Management Plans), including: state goals and objectives; collect data and conduct research; gather government and non-government input; consider alternatives, consequences and potential conflicts; select a course of action; implement action plan; monitor and evaluate outcomes; and, make recommendations and revisions.
(h)	Analyze a variety of issues and problems affecting the management of wildlife and habitat, such as: preservation versus conservation; legislation versus no legislation; species management versus ecosystem management; and, wildlife habitat preservation versus commercial and agricultural land modification.
(i)	Research short and long-term goals for the management of a specific habitat or species.
