Outcome

Demonstrate turning between centres on a lathe.

Indicators

(a)	Demonstrate safe practices when mounting and using the attachments on a lathe.
(b)	Discuss rationale for turning between centres on a lathe.
(c)	Perform the set-up of required components (e.g., faceplate, lathe dog and two centres) for turning between centres.
(d)	Practise proper adjustment of tailstock.
(e)	Discuss limitations (e.g., boring, parting and speed) of turning between centres.
(f)	Practise different cuts between centres.
