(b) | Discuss the advantages (e.g., instantaneous messaging; supporting various media such as text, video and audio; audience reach) and disadvantages (e.g., short, concise messages may be misunderstood; loss of control of a message after it is sent; limited audience reach) associated with using social media to communicate with the public during an emergency. |
(c) | Investigate the implications (e.g., to self, others and community) of misuse of social media by bystanders in an emergency situation. |
(d) | Research ways that social media could be used effectively to manage communications during an emergency. |
