professionalism in all
areas of emergency

Indicators
(a) | Explain deportment as it relates to the professionalism of emergency services personnel. |
(b) | Summarize professional skills (e.g., respect for all individuals, groups and people; punctuality; integrity; ability to contribute positively to a team with diverse members; responsible use of social media) that contribute to good deportment. |
(c) | Justify the personal and professional importance of deportment for those who work in emergency services. |
(d) | Develop and implement a plan for developing and demonstrating additional professional skills required for a successful career in emergency services. |
(e) | Research the use of uniform and dress, including ceremonial attire, associated with various areas of emergency services. |
(f) | Investigate the origin, symbolism and use of badges such as the Maltese Cross, in emergency services. |
(g) | Outline reasons to maintain confidentiality in the provision of emergency services. |
