Indicators

(b) Research the evolution of the equipment used in EMS.
(c) Investigate the equipment commonly used by EMS personnel on ambulance (e.g., airway kit, cardiac monitor, pediatric kit).
(d) Identify equipment commonly used on emergency scenes by EMS personnel in a variety of scenarios (e.g., breathing emergency, traffic collision, severe bleeding).
(e) Research the evolution of emergency medical services, including the use of ambulance services, in Saskatchewan.
(f) Research equipment used for breathing emergencies (e.g., nebulizer, intubation kit, bag valve mask).
(g) Research safe lifting techniques utilized by EMS personnel.
(h) Discuss the evolution of emergency medical services, including the use of ambulance and air ambulance services, in Saskatchewan.
(i) Identify the situational application of the various types of transport equipment (e.g., stretcher, stair chair) used by EMS personnel.
