The 18-minute DVD offers the comments of Elders as they reflect on the life of the Northern Plains Cree that is so beautifully captured in the work of Allen Sapp. These comments provide valuable insight into the impact of the treaties on First Nations people.
The compact disc provides a teacher's guide to assist teachers and students in understanding the Cree worldview and to encourage reflection on their personal worldview through the study of Sapp's images.
The DVD/CD set has been distributed free of charge to Saskatchewan schools courtesy of the Office of the Treaty Commissioner. It is suggested that this learning resource kit be added to the Treaty Resource Kit that should be available in every school.
