Analyze credit card statements to understand the main components such as:

  • charges;
  • payments;
  • interest;
  • minimum payment amount;
  • minimum payment warning; and,
  • balances.
(e) Identify the steps necessary to report and correct mistakes on a credit card statement.
(f) Investigate the concept of grace period as it pertains to credit cards, including when credit card transactions (e.g., cash advances) may not have a grace period.
(g) Calculate the cost of purchases on credit for various scenarios (e.g., making only the minimum payment each month, making a lump sum payment and missing a payment).
