(b) Responds to questions beginning with où, qui, and que.
(c) Refers to objects that belong to himself or herself using a possessive pronoun (e.g., C'est ma valise. C'est ma boîte à lunch. Voici ma chambre, ma maison, mon animal).
(d) Uses the verb avoir to show possession of an object, such asJ'ai une pomme.
(e) Uses the verb être to show personal attributes (e.g., Je suis grand, Elle est petite).
(f) Uses the verbs chercher, mettre, aller to indicate understanding of instructions (e.g., Je cherche un crayon. Je vais à la toilette).
