Prepare for the work placement experience.
Indicators
(a) | Update personal career artifacts (e.g., resume and cover letter) as required for the work placement, and provide to the work placement employer. |
(b) |
Develop a procedural guide for the work placement that includes items such as:

(c) | Compile an employer information package that includes documents (e.g., permission forms, logs and self- and employer- evaluation forms) needed for the work placement. |
(d) | Describe how factors such as one’s educational and other experiences including paid, unpaid and volunteer work; self-concept; personality; needs; values; interests; knowledge; skills; attitudes; and career goals and plan might impact one’s contribution in the workplace. |
(e) |
Brainstorm a list of questions to ask the employer before beginning the work placement; these may include:

(f) | Develop a list of questions that might be asked by the employer in the preplacement interview and prepare answers for them. |
(g) | Participate in an interview with the employer prior to beginning the work placement. |
