(a) | Discuss the importance of pre-planning before travelling. |

Reflect on factors that influence an individual’s travel preferences such as:

(c) | Discuss the advantages (e.g., alleviating stress and last-minute decisions) of preparing a pre-travel checklist. |
(d) | Brainstorm a list of details and items (e.g., travel documentation such as visas or passports, currency exchange, credit/debit cards, travel insurance, luggage/baggage and the types/sizes, international driver’s license, vaccinations, medications, and clothing and toiletries) that travellers should consider prior to travelling. |
(e) | Identify potential hazards and risks associated with travelling to a variety of destinations and propose strategies for mitigating them. |
(f) | Create pre-travel checklists for a variety of travel scenarios (e.g., camping in a provincial park for the weekend, flying to Toronto to take in a musical production or concert or driving to Winnipeg to attend a Winnipeg Jets home game). |
(g) | Reflect on travel etiquette for a variety of scenarios such as flying on an airplane, camping in a campground, renting a car and dining in a family restaurant or formal dining establishment. |
(h) | Research travel etiquette appropriate for a variety of global destinations. |
