Explore effective decision-making processes.
Indicators
(a) Explore factors (e.g., personality, risk, culture) that influence decision-making.
(b) Evaluate the effectiveness of various decision-making styles (i.e., agonizing, compliant, delaying, fatalistic, impulsive, intuitive, paralysis, planning) with respect to their effectiveness.
(c) Identify criteria (e.g., identification of alternatives, risk assessment, predicted results) useful in evaluating the effectiveness of decisions.
(d) Construct a decision-making model or process that could apply to a variety of different types of decisions.
(e) Develop a list of personal characteristics that influence decision-making.
(f) Analyze important decisions (e.g., moving, attending post-secondary, entering the workforce, relationships) that will be made in the immediate and distant future.
(g) Reflect on past decisions and use criteria to determine whether the best choices were made.
