Explore effective decision-making processes.
Indicators
(a) | Explore factors (e.g., personality, risk, culture) that influence decision-making. |
(b) | Evaluate the effectiveness of various decision-making styles (i.e., agonizing, compliant, delaying, fatalistic, impulsive, intuitive, paralysis, planning) with respect to their effectiveness. |
(c) | Identify criteria (e.g., identification of alternatives, risk assessment, predicted results) useful in evaluating the effectiveness of decisions. |
(d) | Construct a decision-making model or process that could apply to a variety of different types of decisions. |
(e) | Develop a list of personal characteristics that influence decision-making. |
(f) | Analyze important decisions (e.g., moving, attending post-secondary, entering the workforce, relationships) that will be made in the immediate and distant future. |
(g) | Reflect on past decisions and use criteria to determine whether the best choices were made. |
