Analyze factors that influence life balance.
Indicators
(a) | Inquire into what it means to have personal, family, community and work life balance. |
(b) | Explore influences (e.g., career, recreational activities) on life balance. |
(c) | Examine a variety of cultural approaches to achieving life balance. |
(d) | Explore healthy behaviour patterns (e.g., exercise, sleep, good hygiene, proper nutrition) in balancing personal, family, community and work life in order to reduce effects such as burn out, depression and stress. |
(e) | Examine the importance of quality sleep and the effects (e.g., irritability, fatigue, energy) of lack of sleep. |
(f) | Discuss potential challenges of excessive time spent on digital devices and impacts on intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. |
(g) | Identify the importance and impact of physical activity on mental, emotional, physical and social well-being. |
(h) | Assess personal time management practices and identify common time wasters. |
