Outcome
Create, organize and
manage stage
properties for a real
or imagined
production.
Indicators
(a) | Participate in production design meetings and demonstrate collaboration with director and design team (e.g., set, lighting and costume designers). |
(b) | Review methods for categorizing, acquiring and managing properties. |
(c) | Design a colour rendering and build a property for a real or imagined production. |
(d) | Experiment with a variety of materials (e.g., sculpting clay, paper maché, plaster), tools (e.g., cutting, gripping, striking) and assemblage procedures (e.g., sewing, gluing, wiring) in creating a variety of properties for a real or imagined production. |
(e) | Create a properties production timeline, budget and plan for the development, organization and management of properties for a play, real or imagined. |
(f) | Propose solutions for safety challenges particular to the properties department. |
(g) | Practise safety precautions and procedures when working with stage properties. |
(h) | Reflect on successes and challenges encountered in creating, organizing and managing stage properties for a real or imagined production. |
