Assist with stage
manager rehearsal
and production
responsibilities.
Indicators
(a) | Attend production team meetings and take notes. |
(b) | Liaise between, and support communication among, production team members. |
(c) | Maintain rehearsal and production call sheets. |
(d) | Assist with the creation of schedules (e.g., for rehearsals, deadlines and performances). |
(e) | Distribute scripts and prepare cast and crew contact lists. |
(f) | Record director’s blocking in production book. |
(g) | Take line notes when actors are off book and prompt actors as needed. |
(h) | Organize backstage storage areas for rehearsals and performances in collaboration with team members. |
(i) | Assist the properties team and coordinate furniture and properties during rehearsals and production. |
(j) | Examine methods of organizing properties by acquisition (e.g., pulled, borrowed, adapted/transformed, created) and type (e.g., rehearsal, hand, costume and set). |

Examine ways of managing properties backstage:

(l) | Create and maintain a master properties list and plan (e.g., properties table, pre-set, stage left, stage right). |
(m) | Support cleanup after all rehearsals and performances. |
