(a) Explain how soils are formed from their parent material.
(b) Identify the different types of soil.
(c) Construct a map showing the soil zones in Saskatchewan.
(d) Analyze the characteristics of soil types including structure and horizons, tilth, density and porosity, particle size, color, compaction and texture.
(e) Examine the main components of soil (e.g., organic and inorganic material, water and air).
(f) Explore the properties of water.
(g) Describe how water moves in soil.
(h) Identify regions of Saskatchewan that still contain virgin soil.
