(b) | Describe mitigation strategies to prevent new livestock from introducing diseases to a farm. |
(c) | Identify the contents of a basic first aid kit and the general equipment (e.g., pails, stomach tubes and blankets) used to treat injured animals. |
(d) | Investigate the cause, treatment and prevention of injuries (e.g., sprained joints and impaled objects) and open wounds. |
(e) | Research common conditions such as influenza (e.g., bird and swine flu), African Swine Fever and food-borne illnesses (e.g., Escherichia coli and Salmonella). |
(f) | Identify common symptoms, nature and the precautionary measures to prevent a chosen disease. |
