| (d) | Discuss the characteristics, treatment and prevention of common metabolic conditions (e.g., ketosis, milk fever and mastitis) associated with reproduction. |
| (e) | Describe the basic care of newborn livestock. |
| (f) | Explore the use of milk replacer, replacement mother and proper facilities (e.g., special pens, milk bottles and/or feed and water containers) to care for orphaned offspring. |
