(a)

Determine possible data to record for a crop operation in the following categories:

  • seasonal activities (e.g., seeding dates, spraying quantities and harvesting yield);
  • equipment maintenance;
  • crop management (e.g., crop varieties, yield, fertility levels, weather tracking, field inspections, crop rotation, disease and insect issues and their treatment);
  • financial management (e.g., inventory, storage, bin checks, prices, markets, sales, purchases and shipments); and,
  • risk management (e.g., crop insurance and claim history for each crop and field).
(b) Collect and organize information into a chart, graph, list or table.
