Explain key aspects of human development and growth.
Indicators
(a) | Investigate different historical and contemporary theories of human growth and development by various authors such as Erikson, Vygotsky, Bronfenbrenner, Bandura and Piaget. |
(b) | Identify the domains of development (i.e. physical, social-emotional, spiritual and intellectual). |
(c) | Explore the physical, social-emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children. |
(d) | Discuss a-typical physical, social-emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children. |
(e) | Describe the development of human growth for different age groups in early childhood, middle childhood, late childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood. |
(f) | Explore traditional Indigenous perspectives of life cycles and human growth. |
