Outcome
Explain key aspects of human development and growth.
Indicators
(a) Investigate different historical and contemporary theories of human growth and development by various authors such as Erikson, Vygotsky, Bronfenbrenner, Bandura and Piaget.
(b) Identify the domains of development (i.e. physical, social-emotional, spiritual and intellectual).
(c) Explore the physical, social-emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children.
(d) Discuss a-typical physical, social-emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children.
(e) Describe the development of human growth for different age groups in early childhood, middle childhood, late childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood.
(f) Explore traditional Indigenous perspectives of life cycles and human growth.
