(c) Recognize conditions that may be related to a patient’s hair care plan such as alopecia, dandruff and pediculosis.
(d) Explain how to care for matted and tangled hair.
(e) Discuss how to provide culturally sensitive grooming.
(f) Describe how to shampoo hair.
(g) List the steps to shave a patient.
(h) Identify safety considerations related to basic nail care.
(i) Research training opportunities to learn about appropriate nail and foot care procedures.
(j) Experiment with applying makeup or styling hair on another person according to their wishes.
(k) Describe how to dress and undress patients, including patients with intravenous tubing.
(l) Identify proper care of wigs (e.g., storage, washing, drying).
