Explore childhood development disorders and disabilities requiring the support of a supportive care provider.
Indicators
| (a) | Identify causes and effects of common developmental disorders and disabilities (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy). |
| (b) | Discuss how common developmental disorders and disabilities affect physical, social-emotional and intellectual function. |
| (c) | Explain the impact a developmental disorder or disability can have on children and their families. |
| (d) | Explore how children with developmental disorders are included in public school settings (e.g., transportation, in the classroom, during meals). |
| (e) | Investigate the relationship between public education and health care systems that support children with developmental disorders and disabilities. |
