(a) Discuss the importance of revitalizing the Dakota language.
(b) Describe the traditional and cultural contributions of Dakota speakers.
(c) Discuss the similarities in beliefs and teachings of Dakota speakers on topics such as stewardship of the land and reconciliation.
(d) Explore how Dakota teachings can be passed down through generations by listening to guest speakers and land-based knowledge keepers.
(e) Explore the common language characteristics of each Dakota community from Oc̀eti Ŝakowiɳ (the Seven Council Fires).
(f) Investigate the unique characteristics of Dakota dialects in each Saskatchewan Dakota community (e.g., isaɳ – knife (Wahpeton and Whitecap); mina – knife (Standing Buffalo).
